Amy Carlson
Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7 in 1968) is an American actress best known for her performances in the roles of Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap show Another World.
Early life
Carlson was brought up in Glen Ellyn by Robert Eugene Carlson Her father was a schoolteacher. He was born in Elmhurst ([DuPage County Illinois to Chicago). Carlson is of Swedish descent and has roots in Smaland.
Career
1986-1992: College and beginning of careers
She was first introduced to Hollywood through her part as a background actress in the film Lucas featuring Charlie Sheen (Corey Haim) and Winona Ryder. After that, she followed her older sister Betsy to Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
