Iliza Shlesinger
Iliza Vie Shlesinger who was born February 22, 1983 is an American comedian, actress, television host, executive producer, and screenwriter. She was a finalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing 2008 and has since hosted the syndicated dating show Excused and the TBS show Separation Anxiety.
Shlesinger hosted Truth & Iliza in a late-night talk program on Freeform in 2017. There are six Netflix comedy specials. In April of 2020, Netflix premiered her sketch comedy series The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show.
Iliza Vie Schlesinger was a daughter of an Jewish family. Her birthplace was in the city of New York to Jewish parents. Her family moved to Dallas when she was young. She was a student at Addison's private Greenhill School, Texas where she was a student of Spanish as well as being a part of the school's improvisation group.
Shlesinger was a performer at ComedySportz Dallas and was a freshman at the University of Kansas. She also participated in Semester at Sea. She then moved to Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts. There, she studied film. In her time at Emerson she developed her editing and writing skills and was a part of Jimmy's Traveling All Stars, a comedy group on campus.

Following her graduation from college Shlesinger moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy. She was one of the most popular performers in the Whiteboy Comedy group of standup comedians in Los Angeles, which brought her to the stage at The Improv in Hollywood.
