The host worked on various other shows, including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show My Wife and Kids, The Practice The Practice, and Weekends at D.L. Handler has also worked as a correspondent for The Tonight Show. Handler received her first big break in 2006, when she began running her own talk show for E! The show was titled Chelsea Handler. The Chelsea Handler Show lasted two years. Handler then performed in America on Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend and HBO have aired Handler's stand-up shows. The announcement was made in 2010 that she was to host the MTV Video Music Awards 2010. In doing so, she was the only female host after Roseanne.
